Connecting Notion to AptEdge allows you to turn your internal wikis and documentation into an active intelligence layer for your support team.
This guide details how to integrate your Notion workspace into AptEdge.
Phase 1: Create Your Notion Integration
Before AptEdge can index your data, you must create a private "internal integration" within your Notion workspace to generate a secure access token.
Open Settings: Log in to Notion and click Settings in the left sidebar.
Access Connections: Select Connections > Develop or manage integrations.
New Integration: You will be redirected to the Notion Developers portal. Click + Create new integration.
Configure Basics:
Name: Give it a clear name (e.g.,
AptEdge Connector).Associated Workspace: Ensure the correct workspace is selected.
Configure Integration Settings: Verify the following permissions are checked:
Content Permissions: Read content
Comment Permissions: Read comments
User Capabilities: Read user information (including email addresses).
Retrieve Token: Click Submit. Under the Secrets tab, click Show on the Internal Integration Token and Copy it.
Phase 2: Grant Access to Specific Pages
AptEdge respects Notion’s privacy model and can only see pages you explicitly share with it.
Content Access: On the integration, click the Content access tab.
Edit Access: Click Edit Access
Add Pages: Select spaces and/or pages to share with the integration.
Click Save.
[!TIP] Nested Pages: Adding a top-level page automatically indexes all of its subpages. You do not need to invite AptEdge to every individual subpage manually.
Phase 3: Connect to AptEdge
Access AptEdge: Log in as an Administrator. Click the Gear Icon (Settings) > Integrations tab.
Locate Notion: Scroll to the Knowledge Articles section and click Connect next to Notion.
Authorize: Paste your Internal Integration Token into the pop-up and click Authorize.
Verify: The connection is successful when the icon changes to a green checkmark.
